The Ivanhoe Estate is a unique redevelopment opportunity located in the established suburb of Macquarie Park. The estate has been rezoned as part of the Macquarie University Station Priority Precinct in proximity to public transport, education, employment and retail amenities.
The 8.2 hectare site will be transformed into an integrated neighbourhood of more than 2,500 dwellings including more social housing mixed with affordable and private housing.
World class urban design, community based place making and quality facilities will support a vibrant, cohesive and sustainable community of at least 556 new social housing dwellings and 128 affordable properties together with over 1800 private dwellings.
The project is being delivered under the Communities Plus program leveraging the expertise and capacity of the private and non-government sectors.
Three organisations were short-listed in mid 2016 to submit development proposals:
• Exemplar Living (Lend Lease) and St George Community Housing
• Frasers Property with Mission Australia Housing and Citta Property Group, and
• Stockland with Evolve Housing and Brookfield Multiplex Constructions.
The successful proponent is likely to be announced mid 2017.
